Greg Peterson has been digging his toes into the earth, listening to the plants, and experimenting with progressive permaculture techniques for over 40 years.
His mission is to show others that they too can realize the power, joy and deliciousness of urban farming!
His 1/3-acre home in Phoenix, AZ has been converted into an entirely edible landscape open to the community for tours and classes, and his fruit tree program has resulted in the planting of over 10,000 fruit trees.
Greg received his Master's degree in Urban and Environmental Planning from Arizona State University, and has since taught at a trade school and even returned to his alma mater to teach Sustainable Food and Farms.
He founded the Urban Farm to provide home gardeners and urban farmers with inspiration, education and advice.
Janis Norton is the General Manager at The Urban Farm, where she manages several major projects including their Fruit Tree Education Program, The Urban Farm Podcast, and the Permaculture Design Course, as well as their online educational classes, chats, and summits. She earned her degree in Sustainability from Arizona State University, became a Master Gardener, and took her PDC training in Phoenix.
While Greg is the Visionary at The Urban Farm, Janis is the Implementer – using her superpowers as a project manager to make things happen and keep them on task.
When is the Water Harvesting Summit?
The Water Harvesting Summit runs each day from 1pm-4:30pm Pacific time on July 13 and 14, and 10am-2pm on July 15, 2023.
How does the Water Harvesting Summit work?
Each day, our expert presenters share educational classes on important aspects of watering your garden.
Presentations are designed for growers of ALL levels, and the information they have to share will propel you on your way to greater self-sufficiency and an abundant, bountiful garden with fewer chemical inputs. At the end of each day, you will have the opportunity to get your questions answered by our experts.
What if I miss something or can't make it to the entire Summit?
No problem! Replays for each day will be available for 24 hours.
You may also opt to purchase lifetime access to own all of the Summit presentations, which is a great option if you would like to take your time to absorb all of the information or want to be able to return to the classes again and again.
How will I know the schedule for each day?
Once you sign up, you'll receive an email in your inbox with all of the details. You'll also receive an email every morning on the day of the Summit with that day's schedule so that you don't miss a thing.
Is it really free?
Yes! The entire Summit is free to attend live, and the replays of each day will be available for 24 hours.
What if I have other questions?
Please email Support@UrbanFarm.org with additional questions.
